Cosgrove began her career at the age of three, appearing in television commercials. She made her first film appearance in 2003, in the movie “School of Rock” as Summer Hathaway.

In 2005, Cosgrove starred in the Nickelodeon series “Drake & Josh” as Megan Parker, the mischievous younger sister of one of the main characters. She continued her role in the show until 2007, when it ended. In 2007, she was cast as the lead character in the Nickelodeon series “iCarly,” which aired for six seasons until 2012.
