James Gandolfini (1961-2013) was an American actor best known for his portrayal of mob boss Tony Soprano on the HBO series “The Sopranos” (1999-2007). He was born in Westwood, New Jersey.

Gandolfini’s career began in the late 1980s, with small roles in films such as “True Romance” and “Terminal Velocity”.
